Job Title: Automation Maintenance Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Automation Maintenance Engineer to join our world-class automation maintenance team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional service quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide site-based engineering support to minimize downtime and ensure uptime of installed automated equipment.
  2. Utilize a broad range of skills to take a proactive approach to improving performance and reliability.
  3. Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of all onsite automated equipment.
  4. Fault-finding and diagnosis of mechanical and/or electrical faults.
  5. Respond to automation faults and breakdowns in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime.
  6. Prioritize system faults and optimize uptime and availability of onsite automated equipment.
  7. Complete all reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages.
  8. Comply with health and safety legislation as a priority focus.
  9. Participate in the delivery, installation, commissioning, and testing of upgrades and enhancements.
  10. Ensure optimum levels of onsite spare parts are maintained.
  11. Support site meetings as required.
  12. Mentor, train, and advise junior members of the team.
Requirements:
  • Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience of working with automated material handling systems.
  • Ability to work at height.
  • Capable of understanding Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Electronic technical manuals and drawings.
  • Proven competence in H&S.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of control systems and techniques.
  • Ability to work in a time-critical environment.
  • Effective time and workload management skills.
  • PC literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
