Compliance Monitoring and Surveillance Specialist

Job Summary

Crédit Agricole CIB is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Monitoring and Surveillance Intern to join our team. As a Compliance Monitoring and Surveillance Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the Compliance team in monitoring and surveillance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze financial transactions and communications to identify potential suspicious activity and escalate to team leads.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to identify and implement effective surveillance strategies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of surveillance tools and systems, including IMAD, Shield, Discovery Accelerator, Nice Compass, Nice Recording, New Case Manager, MI/KPI Tools, and Shared Drives.
  • Produce and analyze MI/KPIs to support Compliance reporting and decision-making.
  • Escalate suspicious activity and communicate with team leads and senior Compliance management as necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior Compliance colleagues to enhance the Surveillance set up and develop tools to improve monitoring abilities.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of financial institutions and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems and tools.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal Compliance requirements, including Financial Crime and Fraud reporting obligations.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure compliance.
  • Escalate any issues or concerns to team leads and senior Compliance management.
