**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Household Underwriter to join our client's team in Essex. As a key member of the underwriting team, you will be responsible for evaluating the risk and exposures of customers for new business, mid-term adjustments, and renewals from the network of UK and Ireland brokers.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Evaluate and assess the risk and exposures of customers for new business, mid-term adjustments, and renewals
* Quote, convert, and retain business for a range of specialist home insurance products within the eTrade channels
* Trade with brokers to maximize conversion and retention within your authority
* Prepare and submit monthly reports to the Line Manager
* Control renewals and existing/new business
* Support and drive income, conversion, and retention objectives

**Requirements**

* Educated to A-level standard
* Hold a Cert CII qualification, progressing towards Dip CII
* Proven track record in household underwriting within an MGA, insurance company, or Lloyd's syndicate
