Job Opportunity for English Teacher

Step Teachers is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team in a Secondary school in Essex. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English Language and English Literature curriculum and be able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Lesson Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students, ensuring they meet the curriculum requirements and achieve academic excellence.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and professional classroom environment, ensuring students are engaged and motivated throughout the lesson.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement to help students achieve their best.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school, to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching English at Secondary level, with a genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to connect with young learners, and a strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 English Language and English Literature curriculum.
