Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for Innovative Solutions

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Engineering Department for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of equipment within our Production Plant. Reporting into the Chief Engineer, the post holder will be responsible for the design and development of equipment, as well as the installation of new capital projects. They will also play a key role in the development of the existing plant through the application of Engineering Science.
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work closely with a cross-functional team to improve existing assets and contribute to the development of new and innovative processes. Your responsibility will include project management across the installation of new capital projects. You will also work hands-on, analyzing, problem-solving, and developing all production processes, methods, and engineering specifications.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a solid understanding of mechanical systems and awareness of electrical systems. Industrial experience is required for this role, and you will possess the relevant education to support your experience. Proficiency with Auto CAD is a must, and working towards or aspiring to work towards Chartered status is desirable.
