Industrial Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer to join our team as a Process Improvement Specialist. This role will focus on troubleshooting PLC and system faults, maintaining site drawings and schematics, and supporting process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Plant Performance:
Ensure plant and equipment are maintained to achieve budgeted uptime and speeds while meeting safety and regulatory requirements. As the on-site expert for Process Controls & Automation, create PLC programs, update software, and manage faults to maintain high standards of equipment functionality. Manage or participate in individual and team projects aimed at production improvements and problem resolution. - Data & Documentation:
Maintain and document accurate system information within the CMMS, ensuring detailed fault history and resolution entries. Develop software backups and implement changes in response to updates or compliance needs. - Cross-functional Support:
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns promptly. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes to resolve issues impacting plant performance, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.
We are looking for an individual with in-depth knowledge of PLC programming and diagnostics, proficiency with electrical systems, including COMPEX 1-4 for hazardous area compliance, experience with IEC standards, and exposure to pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Previous experience in a manufacturing setting, with an emphasis on maintenance and process improvement would be advantageous.
