Main Purpose of the Role

To play a vital role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services for DGP Plc, a leading construction logistics, security and support service company. This position contributes to project success by ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of resources while maintaining supplier, client and staff relationships and upholding quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure all sites have the correct materials/plant on site.
  2. Responsible for the procurement of all orders for sites and head office.
  3. Ensuring purchased items are value for money by researching new products/services.
  4. Ensuring Sage Construct is up to date with Orders and Purchase Order Numbers.
  5. Ensuring tickets allocated on Freshdesk are responded to and resolved in a timely manner depending on their priority.
  6. Maintaining Fleet Insurance/ Tracking and Price lists.
  7. Assisting in the Tendering process.
  8. Dealing with complaints from Suppliers, Site Managers and Clients in relation to orders.
  9. Co-operating with the Company in meeting and implementing its statutory obligations.
  10. Providing positive and professional role modelling to all Clients and Colleagues.
  11. Providing excellent customer service at all times.
  12. Assist Clients with enquiries/issues when Management is not available.
  13. Assisting the Commercial Director and Operations Director when required.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  1. Experienced in managing the procurement of orders on Construction sites.
  2. Able to demonstrate a commitment to providing quality service through effective quality systems.
  3. A proactive approach.
  4. Ability to assess situations and plan accordingly.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and clients.
  6. Excellent IT, written and verbal skills.
  7. Dynamic, self-motivated, and innovative.
  8. Highest levels of integrity and commitment.
  9. An ability to deliver excellent results.
  10. Flexible and adaptable through organisational growth.
  11. Loyal and self-motivated.
