Procurement Manager Job Description

**Role Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our specialist structures business unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, policies, and processes to enhance our supply chain management.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Develop and implement project procurement strategies, policies, and processes to ensure best value and compliance with corporate governance and procurement best practice.

* Provide market intelligence, cost advice, and supply chain performance management to support business objectives.

* Lead and support a team of procurement professionals, including training, development, and recruitment to provide an effective procurement service.

* Monitor markets and provide alternative procurement strategies to maximize opportunities or minimize risk.

**Essential Skills and Experience**

* Negotiation skills and experience of working within the construction industry or similar.

* Demonstrated knowledge of interfaces and relationships within the industry.

* Ability to manage, plan, and structure operational procurement resources.

* Good communication skills and ability to deliver robust procurement strategies.

* Experience of CIPS or working towards CIPS is desirable.
