Special Educational Needs Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs Assistant to join our team at a two-form entry primary school in Salford. As a dedicated and passionate professional, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with SEN to reach their full potential.
This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a great opportunity for the right candidate to secure a permanent contract. The successful applicant will work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and other support staff to provide tailored support to students with SEN.
To be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record of supporting students who require special needs developmental support. This includes engaging pupils, differentiating work according to academic levels, and possessing a clear understanding of SEND-based learning.
The ideal candidate will hold a Teaching Assistant qualification and have experience working with challenging behaviour. You will also need to be flexible around your lunch break times to ensure the child is fully supported during this period.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with SEN to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support for students.
Salary Range: £26,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
