The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Family Support Worker to join our team at Novax Recruitment Ltd. As a Family Support Worker, you will work as a member of the Prevention and Support Service to provide support to children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical assistance, support, and guidance to parents to enable them to care and protect their children successfully.
  • Support families to establish good local community networks and support mechanisms to promote their self-help skills and resilience.
  • Liaise with other professionals and key people, such as Foster Carers, Health Visitors, Schools, Housing, and Education Departments.

Requirements:

  • Establish effective working relationships with service users, partner agencies, and other professionals.
  • Work directly with children and young people using various methods and interventions.
  • Plan and organize workload.
  • Work with own initiative and as a team member.
  • Communicate and liaise with colleagues from other agencies in the statutory, community/voluntary sector.
