Change and Configuration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Change and Configuration Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Change and Configuration Management department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that change management processes are followed across the business.
The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A background in Change and Configuration Management is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure regulatory compliance is a key consideration in any changes planned and released to the live environment.
- Create and maintain relevant accurate documentation.
- Engage necessary stakeholders prior to approving change requests to progress into the live environment.
- Ensure processes are understood and are working as effectively as they can be for the implementation teams.
- Process change requests in a timely manner according to the change policy.
- Highlight changes which do not conform to standards.
- Contribute to the production of the Forward Schedule of Change for review.
- Help resolve queries to ensure that all appropriate changes take place.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines with excellent organisational skills and process orientation.
- Good understanding of the Microsoft tools (including Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Understanding of Change Management principles.
- Pragmatic approach to the administration of governance.
- Formal technical training or background is desirable.
- Knowledge of software development principles is desirable.
- Experience using Remedy, JIRA and ITIL background are desirable but not essential.
