Environmental Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team at Navartis. As an Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing environmental performance and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee monitoring equipment, collect, process, and interpret data (e.g. water, dust, noise, waste).
  • Conduct onsite Environmental Site inspections, highlighting good and bad practice to relevant teams and Senior Management.
  • Ensure the Project Environmental Management System is implemented and operated on site through a programme of checking and auditing.
  • Prepare monthly environmental reports for the project, including completion of company/client and divisional reporting systems data systems.
  • Regularly report progress against environmental compliance and targets to the team.
  • Develop robust mitigation measures to deal with environmental risks, working collaboratively with the production team.
  • Produce, review, and update the Project Environmental Management Plan - EMP (and associated plans) on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience with a consulting engineer, civil engineering contractor, or specialist environmental contractor.
  • Bachelor's degree/MSc (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental discipline.
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of environmental design and works and impacts on 3rd Parties.
  • Knowledge of relevant UK Environment legislation and current best practice guidance.
