About the Role

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their Flood Risk Team on a remote basis.

This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to work on a variety of Flood Risk, Environmental and Drainage Projects for Consultancies, Local Authorities and Private Sector Clients in the UK and overseas.

As a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for completing technical work including:

  • Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1, 2 and 3
  • Flood Consequence Assessments
  • Natural Flood Management
  • Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications and Drainage Design using Microdrainage and Causeway Flow
  • Flood Alleviation
  • Hydraulic Modelling

The ideal candidate will have a strong BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology or Geography and experience working for a Consultancy or Local Authority completing flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and design using Microdrainage or Flow.

It is essential for the successful candidate to have a keen interest in flood risk, drainage and modelling and to be able to work on UK based and international projects.
