Job Description

Job Title: Change Management Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Change Management Specialist to join our team at Tendencys Innovations. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for delivering firm-wide activities within the Change and Configuration processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Delivery: Effective delivery of day-to-day operations of the Change and Configuration Management processes.
  • Process Governance: Directly responsible for the prosecution of the Change Management and Configuration Management processes using controlled processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Support and Justification: Providing support and justification of Change and Configuration Management principles, processes, and procedures.
  • Service Performance Reporting: Ensuring timely preparation of accurate change data and ownership for progress on actions for Change Mgt attendance at required meetings.
  • Quality Management: Responsibility for ensuring quality change management data is recorded and assessed for onward presentation at each change mgt process control gateways.
  • CAB/E-CAB Management: Chairing Physical and/or Virtual CAB/E-CABs – maintenance and delivery of all associated documentation.
  • Configuration Management: Updating and maintaining the Configuration Management System (CMS), ensuring that data quality and accuracy are of the highest standard, including maintenance of CI relationships.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Production and delivery of Configuration Management reports – IT Asset Mgt, Status Accounting, Trend analysis, Audit, and ad-hoc.
  • CI & IT Asset Management: Assisting in the creation and maintenance of CI & IT Asset baselines and Releases.
  • Audit and Compliance: Physical and Logical Audit of IT Assets & CIs.
  • Data Management: Ensuring that the appropriate data, forms, and CIs are available for use by all authorized personnel.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintenance of the Configuration Management toolsets, including 'admin' role duties in Service Now.
  • Housekeeping and Archiving: Implementing appropriate housekeeping and archiving activities for Configuration Management controlled data areas.

Requirements:

  • Certification: ITIL V3 Foundation certificate as a minimum.
  • Experience: 3 years demonstrable experience in administering and delivering effective Change Management and Configuration Management processes.
  • Skills: Excellent understanding of the lifecycle of assets (procurement to disposal).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency: Proficient in the use of MS Office products, particularly Excel, for use in status accounting.
  • Experience: Experience in administering SAM, including the use of SCCM.
  • Understanding: Excellent understanding of the lifecycle of IT assets (procurement to disposal).
  • Experience: Experience with using service management toolsets – Service Now would be advantageous.
  • Understanding: Good understanding of IT Infrastructure (server/deskside) and Software Licence management.
  • Skills: Able to analyze, diagnose, design, plan, execute, and evaluate work to time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Ability: Ability to advise others on how to apply processes and policies.
  • Collaboration: Draws on the expertise of others, if required, to ensure the quality of service/delivery.
