About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioural Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you will work closely with individual students, providing personalized support to help them overcome challenges and succeed academically and socially.

Your role will involve implementing behaviour support plans tailored to each student's needs, working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support, and creating a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing behaviour support plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support
  • Creating a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Monitoring and recording student progress
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social interactions

Requirements:

  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Excellent communicator and team player
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of students
  • Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with behavioural needs is desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience working in schools or a healthcare setting is essential
  • DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
