Job Title: Technical Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Technical Estimator to join our team at Focus Resourcing Group. As a Technical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in interpreting customer needs and providing accurate project-specific solutions using company software and design tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and commercially sound project quotations and technical submissions to maximize conversion to order.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication within the Operations Team.
  • Manage, update, and take ownership of project folders.
  • Obtain key information at the enquiry stage to offer the best suitable solution to the client.
  • Confidently discuss technical information with customers.
  • Ensure designs produced are compliant with current legislation, regulations, and industry best practice.
  • Support customers and colleagues in the timely resolution of technical enquiries.
  • Provide excellent customer service to colleagues and customers alike.
Requirements:
  • Good working knowledge and experience in a similar technical role, ideally with a commercial market focus.
  • Good commercial awareness and a strong understanding of engineering, contractual principles, and methods of working.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills, with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
  • A mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering qualification (e.g., HNC or equivalent).
  • A strong technical mechanical or electrical background.
