Job Title: Technical Estimator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Estimator to join our team at Focus Resourcing. As a Technical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in interpreting customer needs and providing accurate project solutions using company software and design tools.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure timely, accurate, and commercially sound project quotations and technical submissions to maximize conversion to order
* Develop and maintain effective communication within the Operations Team
* Manage, update, and take ownership of project folders
* Obtain key information at the enquiry stage to offer the best suitable solution to the client
* Discuss technical information confidently with customers
* Ensure designs produced are compliant with current legislation and industry best practice
* Support customers and colleagues in the timely resolution of technical enquiries

Requirements:

* Good working knowledge and experience in a similar technical role, ideally with a commercial market focus
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of engineering, contractual principles, and methods of working
* Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail
* Good planning, organization, and time management skills
* Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification (e.g., HNC or equivalent)
