Job Summary:

SDS Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading design projects and managing internal engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement mechanical building services designs
  2. Lead and manage internal engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  3. Provide commercial, financial, and contractual expertise in a consulting practice
  4. Represent the company in client and multi-disciplinary design team meetings
  5. Utilize Revit, Cymap, or Hevacomp software to design and develop mechanical systems
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that meet client needs
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  1. Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  2. Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status
  3. Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical building services design
  4. Strong commercial, financial, and contractual understanding
  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
