Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team at GSL Education - Yorkshire. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment, ensuring the well-being of students, and providing guidance and assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Management: Manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a smooth and productive learning environment.
  • Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and materials, adapting to the needs of students and the classroom environment.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
  • Behavior Management: Oversee student behavior and work, ensuring that students adhere to school policies and expectations.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with teachers, students, and parents, keeping them informed of student progress and any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Prior experience in education settings is highly desirable, with relevant qualifications in education or childcare.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • DBS and Qualifications: Valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS and relevant qualifications in education or childcare.
