School Cover Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at Outwood Academy Valley. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our school during short-term teacher absences.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students during short-term teacher absences and assist in preparing the learning environment and materials required.
- Cover lessons of any subject using the cover work set by the teacher.
- Set high expectations to motivate and challenge students while managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.
- Organise the daily cover rota for absent staff and contact teaching supply agencies to arrange supply staff.
- Support in the classroom as directed during periods where cover is not required.
Requirements
We are looking for an individual with good communication and listening skills, who can maintain respect and confidentiality at all times. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and driven, with the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students.
