About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate Teacher Training Position to join our team at Ark Victoria Academy. As a SEN Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Your primary responsibility will be to plan, develop, and coordinate a range of interventions to support the development of SEN students. This will involve tracking student progress, implementing appropriate interventions, and working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that all students make excellent progress.

You will also be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of a social skills and communication programme for students, as well as developing strategies to support literacy and numeracy, particularly one-to-one teaching or small withdrawal group teaching.

In addition, you will work closely with pastoral teams, meet with parents, and maintain links between home and school to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.

Candidate Qualities:

We are looking for a candidate who is an effective leader, able to work independently and as part of a team. You should be adaptable, organised, and able to work with minimum supervision. A 'can-do' attitude, combined with a passion for education and a commitment to supporting students with SEN, is essential.

You should also be competent in the use of IT and able to analyse data to inform your practice. A willingness to learn and develop your skills, as well as a commitment to ongoing professional development, is also essential.
