Science Instructor

The Aberystwyth University seeks a motivated and experienced Science Teacher to join its Lifelong Learning Department. This role is ideal for an individual who has experience in teaching or employment in the field of key skills within Science, Humanities, Art, Modern Languages, or Professional Development.

• Deliver modules in subject areas offered by the Lifelong Learning Department using Blackboard Ultra and Microsoft Teams.
• Prepare the learning environment on these platforms in advance of teaching and provide ample support and guidance to students.
• Undertake administrative work associated with classes, including completing class register, course content, enrolment, feedback, and evaluation forms, assignment marks, etc.
• Develop and implement an appropriate student learning experience in line with LLL and University quality assurance guidelines.

This position requires recent teaching experience, an understanding of marketing, student support requirements, engagement, motivation, and learning strategies, as well as knowledge and experience of assessment of post-16 education and strategies that are inclusive of neurodiverse learners.

The successful candidate will be able to deliver effective teaching and assessment units for Higher Education courses at NQFW4 and be committed to the University's Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy.
