Community Engagement Volunteer Role

At Victim Support, we are committed to providing support to victims of crime. As a Community Engagement Volunteer, you will play a vital role in helping us reach more victims and make a positive impact in your community.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Community Engagement Volunteer. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with local communities to inform them about crime and our work. You will also gain experience in planning and organizing events and delivering presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with local communities to raise awareness about crime and Victim Support's services
  • Plan and organize events to promote Victim Support's work and services
  • Deliver presentations to community groups and organizations
  • Work in partnership with local Community Voluntary Services (CVS) and universities
  • Represent Victim Support at community events and fairs

Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or over
  • Be able to volunteer for at least 3 hours per month, for at least 3 months
  • Complete a 3-day workbook
  • Undertake a DBS check where required
  • Be able to provide two satisfactory references
