Role Overview

This is a hands-on role that requires you to apply your knowledge and skills across multiple engineering disciplines. You will work alongside experienced technicians to develop expertise in areas like electrical, electronic, and control systems, mechanical engineering principles, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and safe working practices and maintenance procedures.

You will be responsible for installation, testing, and commissioning of new automated equipment, fault finding, troubleshooting, and rectification of issues, planned and preventative maintenance activities, and modifications and upgrades to existing equipment.

This apprenticeship program is designed for ambitious individuals from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and career trajectories. Key Responsibilities
  • Installation, testing, and commissioning of new automated equipment

Throughout the apprenticeship program, you will work towards an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering (Mechatronics Maintenance), gaining both practical, on-the-job experience and earning industry-recognized qualifications. You will study for an HNC in Engineering/Mechatronics and gain day or block release training at a specialist college.

To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine passion for engineering and technology, good problem-solving abilities, and the motivation to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
