This exciting opportunity for a Mechatronics Engineering Apprentice is now available at a leading undisclosed company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installation, testing and commissioning of new automated equipment, fault finding, troubleshooting and rectification of issues, and planned and preventative maintenance activities.

You will work alongside experienced technicians to develop expertise in areas like electrical, electronic and control systems, mechanical engineering principles, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and safe working practices and maintenance procedures.

The Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering (Mechatronics Maintenance) program is a comprehensive training program that will provide you with both practical, on-the-job experience and industry-recognized qualifications. You will work towards an HNC in Engineering/Mechatronics, studying at a specialist college and on-the-job training in a Fulfilment/Sortation Centre or Delivery Station among our team of technicians and engineers.

To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine passion for engineering and technology, good problem-solving abilities, and the motivation to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.

  • You are a UK national, or a non UK national with the right to work in the UK, or an EU national and have settled status in the UK, and have lived in the UK or an EEA, or British overseas territory for 3 years or more prior to commencing the apprenticeship.
  • You will be resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program.
  • You are not registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August or later.
  • You will be 18 years old or older before entering an Amazon building.
  • You have a minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent): Maths, English and a science/technology subject.
