We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Day Driver to join our team at Gregory. As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting goods to customers using a curtain sided vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
  • Delivering and collecting goods to customers.
  • Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
  • Using a hand held PDA to complete daily vehicle checks.
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
  • Attending regular training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
Benefits:
  • Basic salary for Class 1 Day Driver is £33,745pa.
  • Rest day working paid.
  • £70 every 5 years for HGV Medical.
  • Attendance for CPC paid.
  • Hours of work are Monday to Friday, starting at 03:00hrs.
