Main Responsibilities:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in North Bristol. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will provide academic and social support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning plans.

Key Duties:
  • Provide individualised support to students with SEN, promoting their academic and social development
  • Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, facilitating small group interventions and supporting students with their learning plans
  • Work collaboratively with the school team to develop and implement strategies to support students with SEN
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive school culture, promoting the well-being and achievement of all students
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and support techniques, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • GCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications
  • An empathetic, calm, and patient approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
