About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young people who struggle with challenging behaviour and emotional regulation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young people who exhibit challenging behaviour
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create and implement behaviour support plans
  • Support students in developing emotional regulation skills and strategies
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people who have displayed challenging behaviour
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment
