Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Nottingham. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional technical and commercial solutions to a range of clients across the private and public sector.
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing and managing designs, feasibility studies, reports, and contract documents. You will also carry out building analysis, liaise directly with Clients and Contractors, and promote business development. Additionally, you will supervise a team of engineers and technicians and assist in the management of project resources and costs.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in mechanical building services/HVAC design, with significant experience in domestic water services, ventilation, heating, and cooling. You will also have hands-on knowledge and understanding of IES, AutoCAD, and experience with Revit MEP is desirable. Knowledge of current legislation, such as UK Building Regulations, Low/Zero Carbon Technologies, and BREEAM, is also essential.
You will be an excellent communicator with collaborative and self-motivated skills. A Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng, BEng with mechanical engineering experience, would be an advantage. Additionally, knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements, excellent design skills across various sectors, resource planning and management experience, and business development experience would be beneficial.
