Overview

Barchester Healthcare is a leading provider of care services in the UK, operating over 200 care homes and managing a range of specialist services.

Salary

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Senior Carer to lead our team of care staff in delivering high-quality, person-centered care and support. The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, previous experience in a residential care setting, and proven team leadership skills.

  • Lead a team of care staff, including training, supervisions, and delegating duties on shift;
  • Support with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessment;
  • Liaise with GP's, district nursing teams, and resident family members;
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care;
  • Have previous experience in a residential care setting;
  • Possess proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of residents.
