Support Assistant for Inclusion Team

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Thurrock is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a well-being support assistant. This role involves working closely with the inclusion staff, teachers, and SLT to provide additional support to pupils with SEND and/or Social Inclusion needs.
About the School
The school is committed to providing high-quality education and training to its students, and this role plays a vital part in ensuring that all pupils have access to the resources they need to succeed. As a member of the inclusion team, you will be responsible for supporting pupils across KS1 & KS2, with students requiring additional support due to various SEND/SEMH needs.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience or awareness of young people with possible barriers to learning and be able to work alongside a supportive, friendly, and determined inclusion staff. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing support to pupils with SEND and/or Social Inclusion needs
- Working alongside a supportive, friendly, and determined inclusion staff
- Facilitating the differentiation of tasks for students
- Working with small groups of individual students on specific tasks
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a relevant qualification such as a psychology degree and experience in a similar setting. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. The salary for this position is £83-£100 per day, depending on experience.
