Job Summary:
Black Fox Solutions is seeking an experienced Design Manager - Project Lead to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing design and pre-construction projects, leading technical excellence, and driving project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage design and pre-construction projects for the Education and Healthcare sectors.
- Develop and implement design and technical strategies to ensure project success.
- Lead and manage design teams to ensure timely and precise project delivery.
- Coordinate and integrate design tasks into project schedules.
- Partner with commercial and construction teams to mitigate project risks.
- Maintain the project risk register throughout the pre-construction phase.
- Lead design team meetings, internally and externally.
- Mentor the design team and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Review design drawings in accordance with Current Regulations and identify discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Degree in Technical Design, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven 5+ years' experience in design and technical management within the construction sector (preferably off-site).
- Experience in CAD, Revit, SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of planning and building regulations in UK and Ireland.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools including BIM.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills.
