About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Specialist to join our team at Finning. As a Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues with Caterpillar engines and generators.
  • Conduct site visits to assess and resolve customer issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, including site management and operators.
  • Requisition parts and materials as needed to complete repairs and service work.
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Formally apprenticed trained (NVQ Level 3) and served as a workshop engineer for a significant period or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of a variety of gas and diesel engines, generators both LV and HV.
  • LDV driving licence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressured situations and to tight deadlines.
