Strategic Asset Manager for Shopping Centres

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing investment business with a longstanding commitment to UK shopping centres. The company invests in its own centres and manages external mandates for various clients seeking the quality of hands-on professionalism that this agile team provides.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement asset plans for a variety of shopping centre assets.
  • Lead the leasing strategy, working closely with agents to bring in new operators to the schemes.
  • Oversee rent review and lease renewal negotiations, working with external advisers as required.
  • Explore surrender and regears to drive investment performance.
  • Manage the internal property management team.
  • Produce frequent investment reports and attend investor meetings as required by Directors.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in shopping centre management is essential, as this is a small and nimble team with limited bandwidth for training.
  • Ideal candidates will have worked in a strategic asset management capacity, but we are also interested in hearing from those looking to develop their property management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of L&T and service charge management is essential for effective asset management.
  • A good understanding of the retail and F&B occupier markets would be advantageous.
