This position will report directly to the Director, Gender and Economic Inclusion, who oversees the implementation of our gender and inclusion strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of policy reforms and projects aimed at promoting inclusive finance and entrepreneurship in our countries of operation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the development of policy frameworks and guidelines for inclusive finance initiatives, focusing on access to skills and employment, access to finance, and access to services.
  • Contribute to the assessment of transition gaps in relation to gender, youth, and regions to inform project-level investments and sector strategies.
  • Participate in policy dialogue with governments, regulators, private sector entities, and international institutions to promote inclusive finance policies and practices.
  • Assist in the delivery of policy reform progress in assigned sectors and contribute to Country Diagnostics Studies and Transition Quality Assessments.
Requirements
  • A postgraduate degree in economics, international development, or a related field from a leading university.
  • Demonstrated policy or development experience, preferably in the area of gender and inclusion, with at least three years of experience.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel and database software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and oral English language abilities.
  • Familiarity with donor-funded projects and knowledge of one or more languages spoken in the region is an asset.
