We are seeking a skilled Claims Handler to join our team at Indesure Recruitment. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing domestic claims from start to finish, ensuring that all aspects of the claims process are handled efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Manage claims from first notice of loss (FNOL) to invoicing, coordinating all aspects of Buildings and Contents.
- Create and maintain claims files, updating regularly throughout the claim lifecycle.
- Monitor company systems, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
- Communicate proactively with all stakeholders throughout the claim process.
- Log, manage, and monitor complaint resolutions.
- Book appointments and ensure that all required authorizations and permits are secured promptly.
- Schedule and oversee work, ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Raise purchase orders, ensuring that they match the approved scope of work.
- Act swiftly on all reports, resolving issues before they escalate to formal complaints.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with Business Interruption, Loss of Rent, Plant and Machinery, and Alternative Accommodation claims.
- Excellent decision-making and prioritization skills.
- Highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with ease.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- GCSE Maths & English at grade C/Level 4 (required).
- 2+ years of experience in property insurance claims.
- Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance.
- UK Driving Licence.
- Strong persuasive communication skills.
