About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Claims Handler to join our team at Indesure Recruitment. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing domestic claims from start to finish, ensuring that all aspects of the claims process are handled efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage claims from first notice of loss (FNOL) to invoicing, coordinating all aspects of Buildings and Contents.
  • Create and maintain claims files, updating regularly throughout the claim lifecycle.
  • Monitor company systems, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
  • Communicate proactively with all stakeholders throughout the claim process.
  • Log, manage, and monitor complaint resolutions.
  • Book appointments and ensure that all required authorizations and permits are secured promptly.
  • Schedule and oversee work, ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Raise purchase orders, ensuring that they match the approved scope of work.
  • Act swiftly on all reports, resolving issues before they escalate to formal complaints.
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Business Interruption, Loss of Rent, Plant and Machinery, and Alternative Accommodation claims.
  • Excellent decision-making and prioritization skills.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with ease.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • GCSE Maths & English at grade C/Level 4 (required).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in property insurance claims.
  • Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance.
  • UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong persuasive communication skills.
