About the RoleWe are seeking a Clinical Healthcare Assistant to join our Community ENT and Minor Surgery Clinics in Leicestershire. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting medical staff during consultations, examinations, and minor surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist medical staff during consultations, examinations, and minor surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain clinical environments, ensuring sterilization and readiness of instruments.
- Support patient positioning and draping during procedures.
- Accurately label specimen bottles.
- Assist with patient preparation, including explaining processes and obtaining consent.
- Provide post-procedural care and instructions to patients and families.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, including doctors, nurses, and administrative staff.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in ENT or minor surgery.
- Current mandatory training, including Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electronic patient record systems and certifications in ENT or minor surgery assistance are preferred but not required.
