The Role: Sustainability Advisor - Textile Industry

We are seeking a passionate and driven Sustainability Advisor to join our client, a leading supplier of textile accessory brands to the business-to-business personalization industry. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of their sustainability program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and expansion of the company's sustainability strategy, moving beyond a product focus to encompass the entire business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to map out the current supply chain and conduct product life cycle assessments.
  • Work closely with existing and potential suppliers to enhance their sustainability performance in alignment with the company's goals.
  • Identify and implement operational changes to reduce core business carbon emissions across various areas, including supply chain management, procurement processes, and daily operations.
  • Streamline environmental data management and automation within business processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant ESG legislation and stay informed about industry best practices and emerging regulations.
  • Conduct impact assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate ESG risks associated with the supply chain and products.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure sustainability considerations are integrated into new product development, material selection, and supplier onboarding processes.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar sustainability advisory role.
  • A genuine passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility.
  • Solid understanding of Environmental Social Governance (ESG) principles and frameworks.
  • Experience in capturing and measuring scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with third parties, including suppliers, service providers, and data management platforms.
  • Familiarity with corporate compliance accreditations such as B Corp, EcoVadis, Fair Wear Foundation, etc. is highly desirable.
  • Ideally, a relevant commercial, ESG, or sustainability-related degree qualification.
