Job Title: Waste Specialist

The role will bring expertise and experience to support the work of the Strategic Investment Board (SIB) Council Support Unit (CSU) across a wide range of waste management projects, both technical and advisory support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collate data, review, and conduct background research
  • Conduct analysis of data, construct scenarios, and develop projections (with input from DAERA)
  • Draft report, consult with stakeholders, finalize, and present to DAERA

This post will have a key role to play in the delivery of the DAERA Analysis of Residual Waste Arisings report 2050.

Project Scope:

Whilst primarily providing support to the delivery of the DAERA waste Arisings analysis 2050, this post will also work on a range of other waste management related projects.

This will enable SIB to meet current and future demand for the provision of waste management advisory support for government and local councils, thus enabling departments and councils to meet waste management challenges and align with government targets and sustainability requirements.
