Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

Grafters Recruit Ltd is seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 1 driver to join our team. As a key member of our transport department, you will be responsible for safely operating a vehicle and transporting goods to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and operate an allocated vehicle daily, ensuring efficient and effective collection, transportation, and disposal of customer waste.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects that may affect the safe operation of the vehicle.
  • Use and maintain the vehicle and equipment in accordance with training provided.
  • Ensure all loads are secure and safe, and follow site safety instructions at all sites.
  • Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy and report any hazards, near misses, or accidents.
Requirements:
  • A full UK driving license with LGV Class 1.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • A 'can do' attitude and high levels of resilience and flexibility.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commercially aware and takes pride in the quality and standard of their work.
