Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Crawley area. We are seeking multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Job Summary:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units. You will handle runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork. Additionally, you may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Securely transport palletised parcels to couriers or collect them from delivery units.
  • Handle runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
  • Interact with customers and represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
  • Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Have a valid DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive pay rate of £14.80-£16.30 per hour, with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate. The role is ongoing, with a flexible schedule that includes day and night shifts, up to 5/6 shifts a week (weekends included).

Location: Crawley, RH10

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

Experience:

  • HGV: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
