About the Role

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the position of Associate Director of Estates and Facilities. As a key member of the Trust Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the Estates strategy and the operational delivery of the estates, clinical engineering, facilities, and capital team functions.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to ensure that Estates and Facilities services are aligned to the clinical, workforce, research, and development and finance strategies of the Trust. This will involve advising the Chief Executive, Executive Team, and Trust Board on all aspects of Estates and Facilities Management.

The successful candidate will lead the planning, development, and implementation of the Trust's Estates and Facilities functions, Estates development, and Estates and Facilities compliance. They will also support the delivery of the Trust's sustainability strategy and manage the delivery of large-scale strategic capital and operational projects.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and a postgraduate qualification in a related field. They will also have experience in a senior position in an Estates Management discipline, with a proven track record of managing services and delivering targets within agreed timescales.

The successful candidate will be a member of a professional institute and have excellent leadership, planning, and organizational skills. They will also be IT literate and have high-level written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
