Job Summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology to join their team for a 1-year period. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist care to patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Main Duties

The post holder will be responsible for leading the provision of excellent care for people with diabetes in hospital, delivering daily in-patient diabetes reviews, and working closely with the Diabetes Inpatient Specialist nurses and the Podiatry team. The post is full-time, including 1 PA for General Medicine on-call.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general endocrinology and diabetes, with experience of clinical audit and a good understanding of clinical governance. A relevant higher degree is desirable, and the candidate should be able to demonstrate safe use of equipment and efficiency in using resources available.
