About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist care to patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the provision of excellent care for people with diabetes in hospital by delivering daily in-patient diabetes reviews and working closely with the Diabetes Inpatient Specialist nurses and the Podiatry team.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients with complex needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies related to diabetes and endocrinology.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • CCT (or to be obtained within 6 months) in a relevant specialty.
  • Good general endocrinology and diabetes experience.
  • Relevant higher degree (desirable).
  • Experience of clinical audit and understanding of clinical governance principles.
