Job Overview

As a Workshop Support Technician at ReadyPower Engineering Ltd, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations of our rail plant hire company. This position is based at our Newbury depot, where you will assist fitters in preparation and rectification work on plant and equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols.

Your key responsibilities will include maintaining workshop and yard tidiness, carrying out jet washing duties on plant and equipment, and contributing to traffic management at our premises. You will also be responsible for delivering attachments and re-fuelling services for machines via Pickup, promoting seamless operations within the company.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain workshop and yard tidiness, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  2. Assist fitters in preparation and rectification work on plant and equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  3. Carry out jet washing duties on plant and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  4. Contribute to traffic management at our premises, reporting any unsafe acts or incidents to the line manager.
  5. Deliver attachments and re-fuelling services for machines via Pickup, promoting seamless operations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
