Bristol City Council invites talented professionals to apply for the position of Road Safety Officer/Engineer within our City Transport Service team. In this critical role, you will spearhead efforts to create safer public spaces and promote healthy living through innovative transportation solutions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Liaise with local authorities, emergency services, and community groups to develop and implement effective road safety measures.
  • Utilize data analytics and research to identify opportunities to reduce road traffic casualties and enhance public safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver projects that promote sustainable transport, active travel, and pedestrian-friendly environments.
  • Drive policy development and advocacy efforts to advance the Healthy Streets Approach and achieve our Vision Zero goal.

Compensation Package

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, dependent on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including flexible working options, pension scheme membership, and generous annual leave.
