Job Title: Junior Composite Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Composite Design Engineer to join our team at Aston Martin F1 Team. As a key member of our Composite Design group, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of composite components for our racing cars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop composite components, including carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) and other advanced materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design and development meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including 2D and 3D CAD models, and technical specifications
  • Conduct testing and analysis to validate design performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in composite materials and design techniques

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Science Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with 3D CAD systems, such as CATIA, and solid and surfacing modeling techniques
  • Knowledge of composite materials, including CFRP, and their applications in aerospace and motorsport
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
