Binnies, an RSK Group Company, is seeking a Site Civil Supervisor to join our @one Alliance team.

This leadership role involves leading teams towards safety, quality, and project targets on a consistent basis. As a vital link between Site Managers and site operatives, you will ensure key messages are appropriately conveyed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring work carried out meets @one alliance and statutory legal requirements through site inspections, reviewing method statements and risk assessments, and delivering toolbox talks.
  • Ensuring site personnel have relevant training and plant equipment/machinery are in good working order with in-date certificates.
  • Communicating with site team members on upcoming activities to ensure all requirements are met, minimizing any delays to production.
  • Overseeing temporary works, ensuring work is installed as per design and Site Manager kept updated accordingly.
  • Encouraging and promoting near miss reporting, ensuring close outs delivered and fed back to site manager and operatives.
  • Championing a 'Get it right first time' mentality, checking quality of finished products delivered by teams, ensuring product is completed to a high standard.
  • Scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the daily activities of gangs/site operatives.
  • Ordering and managing hired internal and external equipment to optimize performance and reduce costs.

To be successful in this role, you will hold a CSCS Supervisor card and a CITB SMSTS/SSSTS qualification, complementing your construction site leadership qualities. Focused on Health & Safety, you will be aware of our environment and challenges facing our operations, with HSG47 training in Service Avoidance techniques and a SEATS course completed.

Comfortable using IT software and packages to complete required site administration, you will demonstrate proven problem-solving skills by embracing new technologies and ways of working. As a trusted and visible leader, you will encourage, support, and mentor a range of different operatives on site to meet individual career aspirations while enhancing team output to meet deadlines.
