About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Supervisor to join our team at Connected Health. As a Care Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to our service users, working closely with our Area Manager and dedicated team to ensure the safe and effective provision of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community: Complete shadowing with new staff and relevant paperwork, monitor and complete 6 and 12 weekly reports regarding performance of new staff members, and ensure paperwork is uploaded and accurate.
  • Be accountable for the quality and maintenance of Client Care folders on a monthly basis, returning Daily record sheets to the office, and ensuring that all personal details are up-to-date and folders are of a high standard.
  • Work alongside the Area Manager to complete client monitoring visits and client reviews, and regular spot checks with frontline staff.
  • Ensure new client folders are placed in clients' homes within 24 hours at point of care starting, and weekly delivery of PPE to all ground staff.
  • Participate in emergency cover when required, provide direction, guidance, and support to care staff, and support in the audits of all processes to ensure high-quality care.
  • Ensure accurate and concise records are maintained at all times, including client assessments and staff compliance, such as mandatory training records.
  • Provide leadership and motivation conducive to good staff relations and effective work performance, manage, develop, and support staff, individually and as a team, including induction, probation, supervisory support, and training.
  • Report immediately to the Area Manager any incidents of poor practice or any matters prejudicial to the welfare of the service user.
  • Provide emergency ad-hoc cover, ensuring all care hours are delivered, review why emergency cover had to be delivered, and explore proactive plans.
  • Cover on-call in absence of manager, support at the weekend in emergency situations, and engage in business contingency as required by the business, review reasons, and work with the manager to provide proactive plans.
Office:
  • Participate in the on-call phone on alternative weekends.
  • Participate in updating the QP platform with any changes to rostering when it's your working weekend.
  • Complete weekend handover required.
  • Work with your Area Manager on rostering if staff shortages/sickness.
  • Report/complete any paperwork for any issues/concerns from staff/clients directly to your Area Manager.
  • Communicate/report to Care Managers/Social Workers when required.
  • Participate in further training to develop your skills within your role.
Essential Criteria
  • Minimum 1 year's care experience.
  • Must be a driver with access to own car.
  • Must be fully flexible regarding working hours.
Desirable Criteria
  • NVQ Level 2/3 desirable. Must be willing to work towards level 3.
  • Currently NISCC registered.
