Job Overview

At Black Country Job Support, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for our colleagues and patients. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Ward Manager to join our team on our male acute wards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Ward Manager in developing effective ward rotas and managing skill mix, addressing staff shortages through effective communication with the ward team and Bank Nurse service.
  • Undertake and support team members through processes such as Professional Development planning and Clinical Supervision.
  • Contribute to the development of junior members of staff and students, promoting an environment conducive to learning.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed by self and others as required.
  • Ensure an open channel of communication/information to the team and other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including active engagement with care coordinators under CPA to identify appropriate resources to support patients upon discharge from hospital.
